Daniel Friedland is the founder & CEO of SuperSmartHealth and the chair of the largest integrative health organization in the country. He is an internationally recognized thought leader and a passionate and dynamic keynote speaker, educator, coach and consultant on leadership development, culture transformation, stress management, resilience, wellness empowerment and evidence-based medicine, Daniel has worked with diverse businesses, healthcare and nonprofit organizations such as: Genentech, Bridgepoint Education, The Kaiser Permanente Federation, Group Health, Blue Cross, the US Army, Navy, and Air Force, GlaxoSmithKline, Fairmont Raffles Hotels International, The YMCA, Interface, American Academy of Pediatricians, YPO, Conscious Capitalism, and leaders in the Texas state and Australian governments, as well as hospital systems, global wellness organizations and leading academic institutions – having delivered more than 1,500 presentations, reaching more than 75,000 health care and business professionals worldwide.
An immigrant from South Africa, Daniel graduated from University of California San Francisco (UCSF) medical school, where he also did his residency in Internal Medicine and a teaching fellowship. He is the author of the first medical textbook published in the United States on evidence based medicine – now the standard of care for all health care practitioners. He has also started up the UCSF Medical Student Network, to cultivate resiliency, leadership and the compassionate delivery of healthcare.
