Bruce Spurlock

Bruce Spurlock, M.D. is President & CEO of Cynosure Health and Convergence Health Consulting, a healthcare improvement organization whose vision is to create the day when suboptimal care is eliminated; when safe, reliable, and affordable healthcare is a reality for every patient.

Bruce leads and advises Cynosure’s Hospital Quality Improvement Collaborative (HQIC) - awarded by CMS to provide customized, data-driven quality improvement assistance to meet the specific needs of small, rural, and critical access hospitals; those serving vulnerable populations; and hospitals facing quality improvement challenges. He is a nationally known speaker on a broad range of health care topics including translating policy into practice, health care trends and effectively engaging every stakeholder to drive improvement and he co-edited the book “All In: Using Healthcare Collaboratives to Save Lives and Improve Care.” Bruce practiced internal medicine as a senior physician with The Permanente Medical Group, Inc. for seven years.
