Dr. Scott is a Chief Quality and Patient Safety Officer with nearly two decades of experience leading patient safety and quality transformations for several organizations, including Grady Health System, Hackensack Meridian Health System, Wake Forest Baptist Health, and Memorial Health. He is a fellowship-trained pediatric intensivist, with a Bachelor's degree from Lipscomb University, an MD from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, and an MBA from the University of North Carolina's Charlotte campus. Marty specializes in creating strong safety and continuous quality improvement cultures and is certified in Lean Six Sigma, patient safety, and TeamSTEPPS training. He has trained over 60,000 people on the concepts of high reliability organizations and regularly participates in quality improvement education and mentoring other physician leaders in safety and quality.
