Jon Burroughs is the president and CEO of the Burroughs Healthcare Consulting Network. A seasoned healthcare professional, Burroughs has received numerous accolades for his work in providing best practice solutions and training for health programs and networks. Through his national and international consulting organization, Dr. Burroughs has had the privilege to work with 1,500 healthcare organizations and systems in every state and several countries, and has given over 2,000 presentations over the past twenty years. His expertise is in the healthcare system and how it can be improved to optimize healthcare outcomes.

In the past, Dr. Burroughs has served as President of the Medical Staff, Interim CMO at multiple healthcare organizations, and faculty of both the American College of Healthcare Executives and the National Association Medical Staff Services. He is an experienced healthcare administrative expert and has participated in over 200 legal cases for both plaintiff and defense.

In addition to his solutions-based contributions to the field, Burroughs has also placed an emphasis on continuing education in his own career. After earning his bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins University and his MD from Case Western Reserve University, Burroughs went on to earn an MBA with honors and earn fellowship through both ACHE and AAPL. Today, Burroughs is the author and co-author of six influential books in the healthcare sphere, two of which were awarded the James A. Hamilton Book of the Year Award by the American College of Healthcare Executives. He is completing his law degree at UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law and plans to practice and consult as a healthcare attorney.
