American Association for Physician Leadership® president and CEO Peter Angood, MD, FRCS(C), FACS, MCCM, is assembling experts from the association’s membership for a panel discussion at the Healthcare Financial Management Association Thought Leadership Retreat, Oct. 5-6, at the Gaylord National Resort in National Harbor, Maryland.
Co-sponsored by the association, the invitation-only event will address the payment and care delivery models in the U.S. health care system and, based on what is known, which future models hold the greatest potential for improved value, in quality and cost. Also to be discussed:
How the models with the greatest potential might differ for various providers and populations.
The impact of MACRA on the future of value.
Whether the pace of transition toward value-based payment and care delivery models is meeting expectations.
HFMA aims to find consensus from among a diverse, three-circle audience of about 125 guests that includes physicians and other practitioners, hospitals and other providers, and health plan providers.
