Abstract
Private physician practices face growing challenges such as economic pressures, administrative burdens, and regulatory demands, leading to a trend toward consolidation. More physicians are now working in large, hospital-owned or private equity-backed practices, which often reduces their autonomy. However, "super groups," created by merging independent practices under a single governance structure, provide an alternative strategy that helps maintain physician autonomy while benefiting from the advantages of consolidation.
