Mamata Majmundar

Mamata Majmundar, MD, FAAFP, CHCQM, CPE is a physician executive and founder building digital health platform for family caregivers and the organizations that serve them. As founder of Caregiving Is Healthcare, she is translating decades of clinical and payer leadership into scalable, tech-enabled support for the millions of Americans caring for aging or ill loved ones. Drawing on years as a practicing family physician across multi-specialty, FQHC, and academic settings, she knows how to align patient and caregiver needs with organizational goals and drive real-world results. With over a decade of progressive leadership—including roles as associate medical director, medical director over a large Medicaid population at a Fortune 10 health plan, and Chief Medical Officer of a Y Combinator–backed health plan acquired by a Fortune 1000 company—her experience spans public, private, payer, startup, and pharmaceutical sectors. A national voice on value-based care, innovation, and physician leadership, she brings a systems-level perspective, strategic insight, and real-world expertise to every board she serves, focused on advancing health outcomes and helping people live longer, healthier, more engaged lives.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology at Transylvania University and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Louisville, completing her Family Medicine residency from the University of Kentucky before beginning her career as a partner in a multi-specialty group practice.
