Bryan Becker, MD, MMM, FACP, CPE, is a father, a husband, an extreme soccer fan and someone who has learned about community, healthcare, and leadership from great teachers. He is a nephrologist with 25+ years of physician executive experience and now serves as one of the National Medical Directors for VillageMD. In this role, he has accountability for one of the regions of the country and facilitates support, innovation and communication with physicians, advanced practice professionals, and other team members, as VillageMD implements its innovative care model.

Prior to joining VillageMD, he led the largest multispecialty group in Tarrant County, the Acclaim Multi-Specialty Group, part of the JPS Health Network in Fort Worth, TX. In addition, he spent nearly six years as Chief Medical Officer for DaVita Integrated Kidney Care for DaVita, Inc., helping build risk and value-based kidney care across the country. He has held positions at the University of Illinois at Chicago as head of the practice plan and chief executive officer for the University of Illinois Hospital and Clinics and at the University of Chicago where he built the foundation for the University of Chicago’s clinically integrated network and community medical group as Associate Dean, Clinical Affairs and President of the UCM Care Network.

His board experience (past and present) includes the National Kidney Foundation, Candor Health (child and adolescent health education), University of Kansas Medical School external advisory board (medical school advisory board), Forward Health Group (population health), Wolcott, Wood and Taylor (revenue cycle), and the American Society of Transplantation.

He received his A.B. in English at Dartmouth College and M.D. from the University of Kansas. He then undertook internal medicine residency training at Duke and nephrology fellowship training at Vanderbilt before starting his career at the University of Wisconsin.
