Praveen Jayakumar, MD, MS, FACP, CPE, FAAPL, is a board-certified internist and physician executive with experience across hospital administration, payer strategy, and primary care transformation. As Chief Medical Officer of OneVeracity, he oversees clinical strategy for more than 190,000 employer-sponsored members across onsite health centers, pharmacy benefits, care management, third-party administration (TPA), and stop-loss coverage.
Dr. Jayakumar began his leadership career in performance improvement at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. From 2003 to 2007, his strategic planning and process improvement work there contributed to a $31 million improvement in operating margin. At Iora Health, he helped build an advanced, employer-sponsored primary care model, including an ambulatory ICU for highest-risk members. He then guided its transition to Medicare Advantage, where risk-adjusted revenue introduced a new financial lever. As Medical Director of the Culinary Health Fund, a self-funded plan fully at risk for 130,000 participants, he led a population health strategy that reduced high-dose opioid use by 54%. At Arkos Health, he directed clinical operations for an MSO across CMS risk models, achieving consistent annual RAF improvement, lifting STAR ratings above 4.0, and a 14% reduction in ED visits.
With a Master of Science in Population Health Sciences, Dr. Jayakumar connects frontline clinical excellence with financial and operational design. His work centers on the physician leader's dual mandate: creating value through proactive, patient-centered care and capturing it through rigorous operational performance. He has been a Certified Physician Executive since 2016 and a Fellow of the American Association for Physician Leadership since 2024.
