Abstract
Change comes slowly to healthcare. Innovation is not readily accepted and often is met with challenges and obstacles to the introduction of new technology and new medical treatment methods. Sticking with the status quo and the “not invented here” attitude are the usual responses to innovation in healthcare. This article discusses the concept of disruptive innovation and offers suggestions for introducing disruptive innovation in modern healthcare.
