To date, AI is being used within healthcare organizations to address a range of challenges, from clinical to operational. Many healthcare organizations are beginning to realize the benefits of AI, but the potential harm that may arise if it is designed and implemented without a full understanding of capabilities and limitations must be considered. As AI becomes further enmeshed in healthcare, a meticulous approach to its design and use is a strategic, operational, and ethical imperative.
