New Online Resource Center Offers Tools in Support of the Collaborative Work of Healthcare Leaders

Washington, DC—The American Association for Physician Leadership (AAPL) and the American Hospital Association (AHA) today launched a collection of digital resources to spark collaboration within organizations and across the health care field, Leadership Evolve. The dynamic resources, carefully curated from AHA and AAPL’s collective work in physician leadership, were developed specifically to address the contemporary challenges that health care leaders face as they move to transform health care delivery within their organizations. The first subjects to be covered under Leadership Evolve are framed around two key issues, dyad leadership which builds upon the successful model piloted jointly between AHA, AAPL and AONE, and workforce well-being. Through a series of self-guided activities, health care professionals can explore topics including interpersonal qualities and behaviors; organizational factors; and personal, professional and organizational wellness. An interactive inventory checklist personalizes tools, prioritizing those most relevant for the individual user. A third area of focus for Leadership Evolve within the coming year is population health.
