Albert Tzeel, MD, MHSA, CPE, FAAPL is Humana’s Regional Vice President – Health Services for Senior Products in North Florida. Dr. Tzeel joined Humana in March, 1999 as the Humana Medical Director for Milwaukee. Since that time, he has also served as the Market Medical Officer for the states of Wisconsin and Michigan as well as the National Medical Director for HumanaOne. Albert earned his Medical Degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, MI and his Masters in Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan School of Public Health, also in Ann Arbor. He also has a Certificate in Healthcare Informatics from the Drexel University College of Information Science & Technology and a Certificate in Aging & Geriatric Practice from the University of Florida College of Medicine.
Albert is a Board Certified pediatrician and has a history of community service. He has been a member of the Board of the WI Family Assistance Center for Education, Training, and Support (WI FACETS) as well as a member of the Board of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) of Southeastern Wisconsin. Albert has also been active in the American Diabetes Association through their Camp Committee and was the 2013 Co-Chair for the Southeastern Wisconsin ADA Gala.
Albert has represented Humana at multiple conferences in the past, including AHIP, AJMC’s “Patient-Centered Diabetes Care” conference and the Diabetes Technology Society conference. Dr. Tzeel is the author or co-author of multiple papers and books including “When to Call the Doctor” (Dalmatian Press, 1999) and “The Encyclopedia of Children’s Health and Wellness” (Facts on File, 2004).
