The Physician Leadership Institute, a UNC certificate program, is specifically designed to provide the physician leader with a broad range of core leadership competencies and tools necessary in today's complex health care system.
Through a series of educational sessions supplemented by case studies and exercises, participants will have an opportunity to learn the new skills that are integral to successful clinical leadership. This program covers topics such as:

- Quality & Financial Management
- Problem Solving
- Conflict Management
- Strategic Leadership
The program also provides a forum for a better understanding of leadership and delivers critical thinking and creativity tools necessary for managing in today's ever-changing health care setting.
The expert faculty will use a variety of formats that will allow participants to explore ideas and apply subject matter directly to issues faced in the physician setting. In small groups, participants will be expected to address and resolve management exercises and case studies designed to challenge their thinking.
